⏳ Erebus Growing | 0065 - Choose who you learn from

Welcome to Erebus Growing, a weekly email where I share little snippets of life to help you change and grow into your highest life.

It’s been quite a week and things will ramp up quickly as I get closer to moving out of my apartment.

Hours at the part-time are picking up again with the move into spring. Yesterday, I moved some 90 bags of mulch, soil, and stone for customers.

The 9-5 is still going strong and I’m preparing to move to the next 9-5 later this year.

And, I’m taking this time preparing to move out of my apartment to cleanse different parts of my life, including my inbox.

Life moves forward and I’m excited for what’s coming!

👨🏻‍💻 Meditation

We can choose who we learn from and study to build our lives.

Our first teachers are often our parents or those parental figures in our lives.

Next, comes those who fulfill teacher roles through school systems, sports, or other hobbies like music lessons.

Then come our friends from schools, the neighborhood, and our activities.

Finally, come those from jobs.

Most people tend to stop there, they go no further.

But a small group of people, those who want to make conscious efforts to change their lives, they find the next group.

The entrepreneurs and the solopreneurs and the aspirants among us.

For me, those are individuals like Daniel Throssell, Dan Koe, Maria Popova, and Justin Scott.

Those individuals all teach and show different things to me that I want to build into my life.

Be careful and conscious of who you let into your life as that final group of teachers because that final group will have the most impact on you.

Why?

Because those are the folks you actively chose to follow and pursue.
