⏳ Erebus Growing | 0066 - What if it all goes right
Take a moment and picture a future where things work out for you
Welcome to Erebus Growing, a weekly email where I share little snippets of life to help you change and grow into your highest life.
I’ve officially signed a contract for a new position.
It’s going to be a change, but it’s going to be in a direction that I suspect I will sincerely enjoy.
I’ve still got some things to wrap up before I talk too much about it, but I’m incredibly excited and overall, it moves in a direction that is far more aligned with where I want to go in my life.
Now, comes the hard work of moving (twice) and getting everything changed over and around to align with the new position. But it’s going to be a fun new adventure!
👨🏻💻 Meditation
Yesterday, I was reminded of a fresh reaction.
In life, we tend to focus on what can go wrong.
What if he doesn’t like me?
What if I don’t get the raise?
What if they win and I don’t?
What if I start this business and it fails?
What if I go to a new job and it’s not a good fit?
But the better question is simply
What if it goes right?
What if you ask that guy on a date and he says yes?
What if you ask for the raise and they give it to you?
What if they do win—does that actually mean that you lose?
What if you take that risk, start the business, and it’s a massive success?
What if you go to a new job and it’s everything you wanted and more?
One key to changing your life is disrupting the natural thought patterns.
Don’t let you talk yourself out of something on a hypothetical basis.
Just push and go for it.
If it isn’t going to work out, let the other person tell you no or let yourself learn from the experience.
The reality is, you have no idea if something is going to work or not.
But, I can definitely tell you that if you never try, it won’t work out for you.
📓 Journaling Prompt
Journaling is one of the most important things to do when exploring our own lives. A new prompt for you to use this week is below.
Where might you be holding yourself back without meaning to?
